Keyboard Maestro is a Mac app that enables you to set up various Macro shortcuts according to your own needs. You'll see it in the Click and Hold action here: "TimelineIcon.Using keyboard actions to trigger certain functions, launch applications, or navigate between windows can help you improve your productivity level. For me this was 75 pixels but it could be different for different resolution screens. There could be an issue with screen resolution / background colour etc.ĭouble check the offset I've put in for the vertical distance between the Timeline View Options icon and the time bar of the timeline. If not, you may need to create your own Timeline View Options icon screen shot. This will highlight the found image bright green when the action is run. You can check if the Find Image on Screen action is working by checking the "Display" checkbox. You can do this by clicking on the upper right gear icon at the top of each macro and choose: Disable Action. If you've determined that your macro is triggering, I would then disable each action in the macro and enable them one by one to determine where the fault is. The macro group's conditions are met, such as "Available in these applications: DaVinci Resolve" The macro group / folder that the hotkey is in is enabledĤ. The macro is enabled (checkbox at the top of the macro that says "Triggered by any of the following."ģ. If your macro is not triggering, double check these things:Ģ. This will give you a notification pop up when your macro is triggered and will help you determine if your macro is even triggering in the first place. Temporarily put in a "Display Text" action as the very first action in the list and give it some random text. Otherwise, here are some things I typically do when trying to troubleshoot Keyboard Maestro: You can usually solve this by clicking on the icon then clicking away from it again. The macro is looking for the un-highlighted / greyed out version of the icon. The first thing that comes to mind is it may be a bug in DaVinci Resolve where the Timeline View Options icon stays highlighted after you've clicked away from it. I'm not sure what the issue could be, but I'll give it my best shot. Scroll back a few messages, you'll see a solution that's been working for me. Is not simple and it may not even work because of different versions ******** we all love I can't believe you teased us with the video just to tell us we have to learn how to code It's a hack but it did kinda work for the time when I was using it.īut be aware, you may need to update the numbers in there to fit your monitor pixel ratios / retina vs non retina / colors or the like… it's not an easy script but maybe it helps you. However, my Hammerspoon config is on Github and in there you can find my script which I used in DaVinciResolve to achieve the move playhead to cursor function. Having a shortcut moving playhead to cursor is amazing.ĬhrisSpiegl wrote:Hi did not end up making the YouTube video about it as I actually moved back to Premiere Pro because of this and a few other things I just did not like - one of which is the apparent unwillingness of BlackMagic to listen to a few of these usability feature requests which have been open for years at this point. Let me know if you are interested in this and I will try to make it available on GitHub in the coming weeks.ĭid you make that video tutorial or available on github? i'm searching and i cannot find it. I would obviously still prefer this to be actually implemented, but long and behold, there are solutions now for Windows and for macOS. This idea was heavily dependent on something I already was doing with Premiere Pro for the past year or so, but there I did not have to "locate the time bar" and instead was just able to call the "Move Playhead to Cursor" keyboard shortcut.
